Get engaged, get involved, get connected!

Our communities have always been about giving back in ways that best suit each of us. Some are leaders. Some are connectors. Some are participants. All are needed!

In the end, it's our own communities that will be most affected by our choices to get involved. Together can preserve and improve "the rural way" of life we love!

Here are some examples of how you can use your skills to make a difference!

Attend & Participate!

Attend meetings--we want to hear from you:
  • Seniors Housing Committee
  • Seniors Aging in Community Committee
  • Leadership forum
Organize Events!
  • Focus Groups, Community forums, Community Celebrations, Volunteer recognition
Help CDS Communicate!
  • Become a blogger on our new site! Like to generate discussion? Than this is the job for you! We need someone who is interested in managing discussions on our online blog site.
  • Spread the word in your community.
  • Contribute to our newsletter. We need ideas and stories from across the western County.
Develop a Community Directory
  • Gather Information on club organizations, special interest groups, etc.
  • Edit and update the directory for your area
